Customer Review: NOT a cutting board, a serving dish, per the label!

This is a beautiful item, but certainly NOT a cutting board (as advertised) - it is just a serving plate (or trencher) as it clearly says on the label. Very small, too, for chopping, but might be ok for a bar to cut up, say, a lime. The $29.00 price is justified by the J K Adams quality, but Amazon should correct the description. Great that its made in the USA, but note that it is heavy, so a high shipping cost to return.

Back in the late 1950's J.K. Adams re-created this 13-Inch by 9-Inch Colonial Trencher Board that was popular when Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys protected the New England hills. JK. Adams makes this board from black walnut, just as they were in colonial times. This board is also created to accurately reproduce an heirloom with the weight, feel and balance of the originals. This small Trencher is a perfect dinner plate or small carver. The Colonial Trencher board has gathered an incredibly loyal following - find out what the buzz is all about!
